INTRODUCTION
2 Corinthians is a letters of Saint Paul addressing a church in Corinth beset by factions, false apostles, and moral testing. Chapter 4 belongs to a sustained defense and explanation of Pauls apostolic ministry within the framework of the new covenant. Paul presents a paradox: the gospel shines through human frailty, transforming weakness into a channel of divine power. He speaks of treasure entrusted to earthen vessels, of light dawning in minds darkened by unbelief, and of perseverance amid hardship so that the life of Christ may be manifested in believers. The chapter sets the tone for the letter: reliance on Gods grace rather than human strength and a steadfast hope in glory.
